For Sale & Commissions

If you’re considering a commission for you, a gift or memorial, I can incorporate a wide range of personal touches: meaningful symbols, special locations like Holy Island or Stonehenge, country flags, favourite flowers, zodiac constellations in a night sky, a coin marking a birth year—even a favourite quote or poem etched into glass and woven through the mosaic.

There are so many ways to honour someone —whether those elements are proudly visible or gently hidden within the design.

120cm Diameter Mosaic Garden Sphere
Now on display in the Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens, Mauritius.

There’s always something magical happening in the garden…

This large mosaic sculpture is inspired by the vibrant, teeming life of an English country garden. Hidden among the flowers are tiny creatures—ladybirds, bees, beetles, butterflies, and dragonflies—each playing their part in the intricate balance of nature.

Living in rural Devon, UK, I’m surrounded by wild meadows and a garden overflowing with colour. From spring to autumn, it comes alive with a symphony of insects and blossoms. This daily immersion in nature sparked the idea for a sculpture that celebrates the delicate relationship between insects, flowers, and our environment. The sphere represents our world—beautiful, complex, and dependent on the tiniest of creatures. I’ve always been fascinated by the way stained glass interacts with light. The colours shift and shimmer, transforming with every hour. I wanted to create a piece that would blend my love for glass and nature into something tactile and ever-changing. The result is a vibrant, radiant globe that draws both children and adults to reach out and touch. Birds pause to hover nearby; butterflies land gently on its surface. It feels alive.

Materials and Construction

Substrate:

Hollow fibreglass sphere, custom-made by a boat-building company

Dimensions:

122cm (4ft) diameter, 112cm tall with a flat base

Surface Area:

Approx. 4.7m² (52 square feet)

Glass:

Over 45,000 hand-cut and shaped pieces of cathedral-quality stained glass

To ensure durability and weather resistance, each piece of glass is individually cut to lay flat against the curved surface and bonded securely. The fibreglass base is lightweight but incredibly strong—an ideal foundation for a sculpture designed to last, rain or shine.

Crystal Moon

This piece began with a salvaged 80cm mirrored circle that had been smashed. I reshaped it into a crescent moon, giving it a new life and purpose. To create a sparkling, crystal-like effect, I used colourless textured and iridescent glass, paired with white streaky glass, gems and mirror. Soft highlights of the palest rose and a gentle, bright blue bring subtle touches of colour.

A Memory Mosaic

This mosaic was a deeply personal commission, created to celebrate and honour the memory of a customer’s late parents. She shared with me a heartfelt list of their favourite things—small but significant details that told a story of who they were and what they loved.

The design includes a swallow and a wren, symbols of song and freedom, alongside a beautiful selection of flowers: sunflowers, fuchsia, poppies, stargazer lilies, and English lavender. Each flower was carefully chosen, reflecting seasons spent in the garden and moments of joy. A delicate dragonfly was added as a symbol of transformation and remembrance.

One of the most touching requests was to include Peter Rabbit’s iconic blue coat—a nod to treasured stories and childhood memories shared within the family.

Every element was cut and shaped by hand, and thoughtfully placed to create a mosaic rich with personal meaning. It was a true privilege to bring this tribute to life—an artwork that now holds memories, symbols, and love within every piece of glass.

South West Children’s Hospice – Narnia Themed Sensory Garden

I was honoured to be asked to create a lasting piece for the South West Children’s Hospice, as part of their beautifully imagined Narnia-themed sensory garden.

The vision was to design a mosaic that would feel magical—raised off the ground so that flowers and plants could grow beneath and around it, blending the piece naturally into the garden. Most importantly, it needed to be positioned so that, as the children approached, a carved wooden statue of Aslan would appear through a ‘doorway’ within the mosaic—a moment of discovery and wonder.

The final piece measures 4ft x 5ft and is set within a custom stainless steel frame, angled precisely to reflect the statue of Aslan when viewed from just the right spot. The frame keeps the mosaic elevated, allowing the garden to grow around it and enhancing the sensory experience for the children.

A special thank you to Cornwall Glass in Exeter, who generously donated the safety mirror and assisted with transportation, helping bring this meaningful project to life.

Pisces in the Night Sky

This mosaic is rich with personal meaning for my customers, blending the beauty of the night and day with a series of carefully chosen symbols. The constellation of Pisces is formed with shimmering glass stars, set against a backdrop of darkness that evokes the vastness of the cosmos.

In the foreground, a hare sits near the iconic Stonehenge and Glastonbury Tor, grounding the piece in a sense of place and connection to nature. A soft rainbow arches across the design, while a mandala adds a touch of symmetry and balance. Two coins, each marked with a birth year, are subtly integrated into the mosaic, with a shooting star to capture fleeting moments of wonder.

Favourite flowers bring colour and life, and a Nazar Eye is placed for protection—guarding against evil and bringing positive energy to the piece.

This mosaic is a reflection of personal history, nature, and the mystical, creating a piece that is both meaningful and visually captivating.

A Wedding Gift

This mosaic was created as a wedding gift, with each symbol chosen for its special meaning to the couple. The flowers depicted are those from the bride’s bouquet, capturing the beauty and significance of the day.

A shooting star is included, symbolising wishes and hope for the couple’s future. A dragonfly represents the ability to embrace new perspectives, navigate life’s challenges, and brings good luck and transformation to their journey together. A lighthouse stands in the midst of a stormy sea, symbolising refuge and safety, a guiding light through both calm and turbulent times. Lastly, a Paisley design is incorporated, representing life, fertility, and prosperity—wishing the couple a future filled with growth and abundance.

Each element was thoughtfully chosen to celebrate love, new beginnings, and the shared path ahead, making this gift a truly meaningful and lasting symbol of their union.

Exeter Cathedral School

Exeter-Cathedral-School-Picture

This mosaic was a collaborative project, designed by the children and the retiring Head of the Art Department at Exeter Cathedral School. The design beautifully captures the spirit of the school community, with each figure representing the children’s favourite activities—intertwined with flowing lines of music to reflect the school’s strong musical heritage.

From sports and reading to performance and play, the mosaic celebrates creativity, individuality, and joy, all brought together in a vibrant and unified design. It was a pleasure to bring the children’s ideas to life and create a lasting artwork that reflects their passions and the heart of their school.

Dog Kennel – Bow Wow Haus Charity Event

This one-of-a-kind dog kennel was created for the Bow Wow Haus charity event—a playful yet practical piece with a touch of charm and whimsy.

The roof is tiled with vintage china, giving it a nostalgic and colourful finish, while the walls are crafted from vibrant stained glass. Flower motifs brighten the panels, with coloured glass windows forming their centres. On the rear wall, a striking circular window features a large blue ammonite design, adding a unique focal point.

Whether it’s for a dog, a cat, or even your Amazon parcels—this kennel is both beautiful and useful!

A Garden Sofa

This unique mosaic garden sofa was created using key design elements chosen by my customer, for whom I prepared a series of Mosaic by Numbers kits. These allowed him to take part in the creative process while we assembled and brought the full piece together.

A dark blue glass ribbon winds through the design, etched with a meaningful quote as a personal memorial—adding depth and emotion to the piece. The mosaic is brought to life with a vibrant mix of vintage china, glass tiles, ceramic pieces, and sparkling gems.

More than just a seat, it’s a beautiful and lasting tribute full of colour, memory, and character—perfect for a peaceful spot in the garden.

Triptych Wall Panel in Camden, London

Stained Glass flower garden mosaic on mirror.
2100 x 1000 x 6mm

Due to the size of this wall panel, I divided it into three equal sections.

There were two reasons for this: firstly, a mirror panel of this size would be extremely heavy, requiring specialist lifting equipment and transport. Secondly, if it were ever damaged, only the affected section would need to be remade rather than the entire piece.

My customer had a beautiful garden and wanted to bring some of that colour and floral abundance down into a walled, paved patio area.

“Crown of Nature” — A Mosaic Tribute

This piece is a tribute to King Charles III — honouring not only his deep love of nature, but also the enduring legacy of his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Each element in the mosaic has been carefully chosen for its symbolism and connection to the British Isles:

English Oak – Symbol of England and strength
Shamrock – Representing Ireland
Thistle – For Scotland
Daffodils – Celebrating Wales
Tudor Rose (Red & White) – The national emblem of England, representing peace and unity
Bumblebees – Prosperity, abundance, and the continuation of life
Ladybirds – Optimism and good fortune
Blue Butterfly – Symbol of regeneration and abundance
Forget-Me-Nots – For remembrance of loved ones
Lily of the Valley – The late Queen’s favourite flower, included in her coronation bouquet and Princess Kates’ wedding bouquet
Delphiniums – King Charles’ favourite flower, full of majesty and grace

A Solar Lamp for the Garden – A Meaningful Memorial

This commission came together slowly over a couple of years, through thoughtful conversations with a lovely customer who wanted something truly meaningful to honour her mother. Earlier this year, she saw a workshop I was teaching on creating mosaic solar garden lamps—and in that moment, she knew she’d found the perfect piece.

Her mother had loved plants, flowers, and spending time in her garden, so a lamp that gently lights up at dusk felt like a fitting and beautiful tribute.

Using a list of her mother’s favourite flowers—and including bumblebees, ladybirds, and butterflies—we designed a mosaic filled with life and colour. We also chose to include a special poem, which was etched into deep blue glass, then cut into tiles and placed around the collar of the large glass jar used for the lamp.

Now, placed in her garden, the solar panel gathers power during the day and softly glows at night—drawing in moths and night creatures, and casting a gentle, colourful light that celebrates a life well-loved.

Water Feature in a Mediterranean Style Garden, Devon, UK

This mosaic was created for a beautiful Mediterranean-style garden here in Devon. I built the design on fibreglass mesh in my studio using glass mosaic tiles—a technique that makes it possible to work indoors during bad weather, with the added bonus of being able to install it outside over just a couple of sunny days.

The fountain required 12 individual panels, so to plan the project and estimate the time needed, I began by making a maquette—a smaller, stand-alone design built to the same size and shape as the final panels. This helped me test colours, shapes, and the overall rhythm, while also getting a true feel for the scale of the finished piece.
